I've been looking for a nice pair of heels for a while but unsure which ones would be fairly comfy.i normaly stick to wedges but I have a few outfits that would look better with something more dainty I have a pair by dune which I wore to a wedding last year and they nearly killed me I spent the whole of the reception in barefoot.iv always wanted a pair of Christian louboutins but iv heard they are really uncomfortable as are jimmy choos iv been looking at lk Bennett and russell and Bromley but lk seem to do a lot of patent and I'm not keen on shiny and russell and Bromley are a bit boring.have any of you ladies got any recommendations I don't want to high as I'm only 5ft 1 and I might look daft in anything over 10 cm.

Yes, Louboutins are uncomfortable. I've found Jimmy Choo shoes to be much better, and LK Bennett heels aren't bad either; shame that so many of their styles have the Middleton frump factor!

My top tip is Mary Portas's range for Clarks. Some of the styles are a bit safe but others are really nice, and they are the most comfortable heels I own. The leather lining helps.

If you can find a style you like - M and S Insolia range are v comfy. I am no heel wearer and can wear them all day with no soreness
