Make up experts! What should I do about brushes?

I had a lovely Bobbi Brown power makeover in Selfridges to start me off on the path towards rediscovering fashion/beauty/normality three months post giving birth. I bought a few products but didn't buy brushes as couldn't afford those too. I have a few Mac brushes left from a set that DH bought me years ago but not sure what to do with them. So make-up gurus, which brushes do I need? (Types and brand)

Currently wearing Bobbi Brown foundation, Mac cream blush, Bobbi Brown nude eyeshadow palette, Body Shop lip stain, eye liner pencil and mascara. Will be buying BB concealer when next paltry maternity pay cheque comes in...!

Get the Real Techniques stippling brush from Boots, Superdrug or Amazon. Use it to apply your foundation. There are videos on YouTube to show you how. I have done it for the first time this morning and am so impressed!

If you want a cheaper concealer than Bobbi, try this Collection 2000 one. I used to use BB but this is just as good in a hurry.

Real techniques, best brushes ever!

Second third or fourth real techniques. If you get to applying gel liner then there is a fabulous lancome double ended brush which is very precise. Bb gel liner works very well with it.

MaC brushes I have three eyeshadow brushes - one largeish and fluffy, one smaller and fluffy and one stiff thin one and a big brush that doesn't look big enough for blusher/bronzer so is maybe a foundation brush.

Can I ask a question on here I have always wondered? I use my fingers to apply foundation and always have - aren't foundation brushes a bit manky unless you wash them after every use?

I nick some of the baby's cotton wool to apply my foundation! Very bad for wasting product!

I don't wash it every time -I'm too lazy

I don't really get the whole unhygienic thing - my make up
always goes onto a freshly cleansed face what's wrong with that? I wash my brushes max every two weeks but normally longer as I'm lazy!

Real Techniques stippling brush and Stila number 9 would be my go-to brushes. If I could, I'd get duplicates of just those two so I don't mix colours!
