White marks on fingernails

I seem to always have white marks on some of my fingernails - mainly the ring and little fingers. Does anyone know why this is? Do I need some kind of supplement?

I might be wrong but is it not a calcium deficiency if you have white spots on your nails?

I thought it was excess calcium. I have them too

I thought that calcium thing was a complete myth? I think its damage to the nail bed iirc.
