Running tights

I'm in the market for a pair of decent running tights. Full length but that I won't be roasting in when the weather warms up. They must have a pocket big enough to hold an iPhone as well.

I've heard the nike filaments are quite good but will they fit the bill?

I wear Nike Filaments and the new ones do have a large phone pocket but I don't put a phone in mine.

I find them great, I've a pair that's a couple of years old and still going strong. Wiggle had them for £20 not long ago, might be worth a look.

Doyouthinktheysaurus · 19/03/2014 12:55

Unfortunately they've gone back up in price

These are the ones though. Just bought a pair of Capri ones as well.

I have a pair of nike running tights, but found they quickly became see through, so you may want to check your butt before buying.

I now wear a pair of shorts over the top - or roast in a pair of mpg ones

I have the filaments, wearing them now as I'm just in from a run :) The pocket is big enough at the back for a phone as that's what I use for my music. Only thing I've found that the black colour faded a bit quickly in mine, but that could be a one-off

I like ronhill - not too expensive, large pocket for iPhone and not see through. I have men's tights and woman's.

OhTheDrama · 19/03/2014 15:33

Nike filaments here, also have a Ronhill pair and they are both comfortable. I have the filaments in long and Capri length and they are both great.

Nike tech tights. Small pocket, tend to keep my phone in my hand so I can look at runkeeper, or in one of those arm things. So warm!! Have had mine years and still okay! Check sports direct.

Apart from that under armour tights are amazingly compressy!! Lovely :)

Another vote for nike filament. I've got 3 pairs, the oldest are about two years old & haven't gone see through.

Morrigu · 19/03/2014 17:43

Talking of compression ones, I tried on the under armour heatgear capris last week and couldn't believe a pair of tights could make my bum and thighs look so good Grin They just sucked everything right in. Unfortunately they didn't have the full length tights in my size.

Ooh great advice thanks. I'm on the smaller end of a size 14 but trying to lose some weight. Would a medium fit ok?

I'm a 10-12 and wear a medium.

I was a large 14 and wore a large. I still wear the large I had when I was bigger and they still fit fine.

I think either medium or large would be okay, depending on what kind of fit you want.

carrie74 · 19/03/2014 19:25

Ronhill here: brilliant fit, last forever.
