Ok it's spring but I don't care. I am wearing it to eat ice cream in the park.

The Stutterheim Stockholm

Well noone on MN cares, apparently, but it has been on several outings now and is much admired! Grin

It's very nice and if I had 200 quid spare for a raincoat is definitely consider it!

mothermirth · 23/03/2014 16:42

rootypig I love it.

Please share which size you bought, and what size you are. Smile

Marylou2 · 23/03/2014 17:06

Not sure if the link is working for me. It links to an alarming looking bearded man. Is that the one?

rootypig · 24/03/2014 08:32

mother I got XXS in orange, it is beautiful, bright but not neon. I am 5'4" and size 10.

Ha Marylou scroll down!

Oooh much better! Very nice!Smile .

fairylightsintheloft · 24/03/2014 09:05

lovely but £200 is a LOT

FrugalFashionista · 24/03/2014 11:35

Rooty I love your coat. I'd buy one in camo print in a heartbeat if I didn't already have a couple of great ones...

rootypig · 24/03/2014 12:05

I know it's a lot Blush

But I'm a single parent to toddler so spend a lot of time in the rain. And have been out in the evening I think twice in the last year sad. And this is the only coat i've bought this winter. And it should last a lifetime.

Rooty a good raincoat is really worth it if you live in a rainy place. I often wonder why we own any sandals or summer dresses - a good raincoat needs no further justification. I have several and they get worn a lot more than most of my other clothes...

bishboschone · 24/03/2014 13:43

Is it a mens coat? Doesn't that make it a bit boxy?

rootypig · 24/03/2014 14:06

It's unisex with a straight cut, the XXS fits me perfectly across the shoulder seams, which I think is key bish. It doesn't look boxy on me got no breasts, is also perfect length, just below bum.

Thanks frugal, I do think I'll wear the nuts out of it Grin
And not inwardly groaning at every rainy day and being old and wet has to be worth it, right?

OP posts:
rootypig · 24/03/2014 14:07

*cold. Though also old.

bishboschone · 24/03/2014 14:08

I bought a Didrikson recently as I was fed up of being wet so I get why you bought it .. Smile

mothermirth · 24/03/2014 14:11

Thank you rooty. Trying to keep my hands off my wallet now Smile I love it, but I already have one I like so I shouldn't even though I live in one of the rainiest parts of the UK …or should I?

rootypig · 24/03/2014 15:21

you should if you can afford it! it is the cheeriest object I have seen in years, and the reactions to it are amazing!

SauceForTheGander · 24/03/2014 15:22

I'd prefer dark navy or military green

GiniCooper · 24/03/2014 18:21

I want a cape now after looking at that link OP.

Nananananananananana BATMAN!
Of course, I wouldn't actually say it aloud, just in my head and swoosh around a lot.

Lovely! Showerproof though - is this sufficient for Britain's eternal monsoon? Or is this just a description they have to adhere to if it's not military grade?

I cannot see the colour options you mention div
