Home hair dye help?

Can anyone recommend a home hair dye? I've not had mine coloured for nearly 1 1/2 and have decided I would like a change (pick me up after 2 kids) can't afford to pay £92 quoted at the hairdressers!

I've heard superdrug's own are ok?

I'm a dark blond colour naturally and only want to go a shade or 2 lighter

Any help/recommendation??

You can't really go lighter without bleaching it. You can add more golden tones with colour that may make it appear lighter. Loreal Casting creme gloss would be good for that.
If you want lighter hair you may need to highlight it.

Ah ok,

May try another hairdresser then see if they are cheaper, not sure I'm confident enough to bleach at home

Thank you

You could get a friend to help you highlight? Use a highlighting cap and don't leave it on too long it should be good. Some toner for afterward would help give the best colour result.
