Advice please for spring footwear...

I love winter because i love boots!

With the lovely spring weather this week i'm wondering about a change of footwear. I do a lot of town walking and so need something more substantial than flimsy ballet pumps.... I wear a lot of dresses and tunics with leggings which converse type trainers would look naff with. What kind of shoe should I be looking for?

I'm wondering exactly the same!

If you have to wear flats either Loafers or a Driving shoe are very chic.

I have just bought these www.clarks.co.uk/p/20359340 they are really comfortable and perhaps not as chic as the Todd's which are georgeous but a bit more in my price range Smile

yes, loafers may well work.... good options in next

I'm wondering the same so watching with interest.

Anything between Clarks and Net-a-Porter price wise?

Chocolategirl7 · 12/03/2014 16:17

I've just bought brogues from Clark's. Couldn't decide on the colours tho, so have bought black patent and blue suede. Very comfy!

I tend to wear less flimsy ballet shoes (Banana Republic are good) or loafers for work, but off duty I'd wear Converse or am thinking of investing in some skater shoes.

whereisshe · 12/03/2014 16:47

I'm also watching with interest as I have the same problem. I need arch support - I live in ballet flats and they're making my arches collapse but everything else looks too clunky...

Dancergirl · 12/03/2014 16:58

OP, you CAN wear converse with leggings and tunics. I do, is that wrong?

Dancergirl · 12/03/2014 17:02

I quite like these in navy but they're sold out in most sizes:

Anyone seen any similar?

LivUpNorth · 12/03/2014 18:19

But! but! - don't loafers etc get really stinky if you actually walk anywhere in them? I don't think I could rock a leggings and ankle sock look, much as I'd like to.

SpringyReframed · 12/03/2014 18:30

Ops, sorry. Meant to say that these are nice and not at all old ladyish despite the brand. Bet they will be really comfy too.

biscuitfreak · 13/03/2014 13:00

Hush Puppies Janessa in tan. I had these last year until I left them in a hotel room. So comfortable, you can walk for miles in them, and honestly don't look frumpy once they're on your feet.

positively9something · 15/03/2014 19:57

I'm watching too as I need spring shoes Wink

I'm thinking clarks
