How wide is M&S wide fitting?

Fallen in love with perfect pair of Autograph shoes on M&S site but they're wide fit and my feet aren't wide. Are they going to be flappy and ridiculous?

Bumping for evening crowd?

I think they are an E. I think their standard fit is a D.

So possibly not a major difference then?

I have fairly narrow-normal feet and happily wear the wide fit if found in the sale!!!!! In fact they are really really comfy- go for it.
