Novice what gorgeous links. Love the first bracelet and the MiH look great. It's all lovely.

libertychick · 13/03/2014 09:33

Novice I dithered over buying that first bracelet but decided to be restrained - all gorgeous. I love the James Pearse sweater.

I keep looking at that jacket Linus will be great to have your feedback.

Shop you are shrinking!!! BTW my DH was reading something last night on line about swimming with kids (American site) and they said not to bother with swimming lessons under 4 as a lot of children find it too much and this guy says they are not really strong enough. He suggests just taking them to the pool and playing with them, doing things like standing in the water and throwing a ball etc to get used to balancing. Anyway DH felt it sounded about right for our DD and has decided not to book onto the next set of lessons and just take her to the pool once a week and have fun instead.

Foggy here Dry. DD a bit confused as the sun looks like the moon through the fog Grin

Saw these flats in Clarks yesterday and I think I might NEED them. But then I'd NEED something else green too like maybe this Cos cardi. Decisions, decisions Smile

QueenCadbury · 13/03/2014 09:47

Gorgeous cardi liberty! I'm wraring my emerald one again with navy today. Love it.

I put dd1 into lessons when she was 3 or 4 and she didn't particularly enjoy them and there's a lot of coordination involved with swimming. We stopped and then restarted when she was 7. She's absolutely flown through the swimming groups and has virtually caught up with her peers who started earlier.

shopafrolic · 13/03/2014 10:15

Good to know about swimming Liberty Thanks. I probably won't renew for the next term anyway as DS will move up to 4 mornings a week at nursery so it will clash with class time.

LinusDKD · 13/03/2014 10:29

Was only joking shop! I am about 5 foot 4 inches so still a lot smaller than you.

liberty lovely Cos cardigan. Great colour.

DSis says that swimming lessons before the age of 5 are not recommended.

She lives in Oz so wanted her DS1 to learn how to swim early (so many swimming pools and beaches around) but it didn't work out but now that he's 6 he's got the hang of it immediately. Her DS2 is now 4 so she's waiting for him to be older to send him to swimming lessons.

shopafrolic · 13/03/2014 11:27

Gorgeous bits on the Outnet today - loads of Sam Edelman too

Blimey...Just driving home, minding my own business, and saw a car ahead swerving very slowly into my lane. As I got closer NO DRIVER Shock ....the mini was making a break for freedom right on my path Shock.....I was far enough away to not worry and just let it roll gently up onto the kerb and not a grassy verge! stopping short of a wall . Obv wanted to feel that grass on its tyres Grin would love to see its owner's face when she returns Grin the woman driving the RRover in the other lane had the most fantastic expression on her face!
Never a dull moment.

shop I think that's my problem. But with DH away I'll be reading for longer bursts hopefully.

Drywhiteplease · 13/03/2014 14:33

"Onto a grassy verge"

OneLittleLady · 13/03/2014 14:43

OMG Dry that's really scary! I'd have been terrified!

leg is very painful today but I am still going to persevere with my quest to wear heels again, might just be for a shorter time today.

libertychick · 13/03/2014 14:55

Heels are not worth hurting yourself over One, take it easy. Lot's of us look just as good in flats I hope Smile.

Bloody hell, Dry that is scary.

I am working from home today and am decluttering in fits between v boring spreadsheets. About to take 250 books to the charity shop - this decluttering lark is quite addictive. I'm looking around to see what else I can take.

libertychick · 13/03/2014 14:56

Don't know why I felt the need for that random apostrophe in 'lots' Grin

Bonsoir · 13/03/2014 14:57

Still on the boyfriend trouser theme... I checked out the Inès de la Fressange jeans in Uniqlo but the queue to try them on was horrendous so I will go to another (much quieter) branch tomorrow and see. They looked promising and were very reasonable at EUR 40.

After the general boredom and disappointment of the Inès de la Fressange/Uniqlo collaboration I went to Printemps and found these Isabel Marant but in a sort of salmon pink. They will provide a more laid back alternative to my Dries pink pleated skirt for the two Dries tops I bought. And will also look good with the khaki/gold Marni sandals I bought - this model but khaki not black.

Is it just me or are the most exciting colourways never featured on Net-à-Porter?

Stokey · 13/03/2014 14:58

Gosh that sounds terrifying Dry

Love those Clarks shoes Liberty - DD1 just started swimming classes again aged 4 (first time since she was 18 mths) but is not impressed about having to go in by herself. Threatening to go on strike this week. Think may have to bribe her with Disney shop visit afterwards. Think she should be elated - she's learning to swim in the Olympic pool but she doesn't see it that way - sigh.

OneLittleLady · 13/03/2014 15:00

Liberty I know flats look good too, I'd just like to have the option to wear heels if I want to IYSWIM? I kinda feel like it's a way to stick two fingers up at this crappy disease, might sound a bit silly but I have to fight it anyway I can otherwise it's all consuming and I don't want to spend the rest of my life saying I can't do things because of it IYKWIM

maradesbois · 13/03/2014 15:06

Hello all,

Am away & haven't caught up properly with the thread but just wanted to check in. Apparently my outnet package has arrived at home so can't wait to try on this weekend.

novice a great outnet haul!

blair glad the phoebes are working for you.

marsha I really like that cardigan. Have a raspberry marni cashmere one that was a Bicester bargain and wear it loads.

shop 10st for 5'9" is fab, well done! That is my target weight, don't have too far to go to achieve it but am 2 inches shorter than you!

dry scary car situation. Just had my own little scare, was walking along with tired ds on shoulders, tripped on a bit of wonky pavement & crashed to the floor. DS went flying but luckily didn't land on head and was really well protected by his ridiculously expensive top quality down coat I bought in Paris.

maradesbois · 13/03/2014 15:32

linus just saw your links. Don't know hush but love the pic of yellow ballerinas with the dress.

liberty how is your ww going? Am doing ok, not sticking to 5:2 as it really makes me miserable but eating well and enjoying it.

Annianni · 13/03/2014 15:47

10 stone Shop Envy

Dry Shock scary!

I like those green shoes Liberty and Marsha's cardigan.

Lovely shopping Linus.

My outnet order has just arrived...
The silver watch is nice but not keen on the hexagon shaped face. It's lovely and heavy though.

The rubber watch (which looked a bit neon in the pics) is a bit of a boring pinky red, so that's going back... No beeping though, for a change.

The blue wrist warmers are a bit too petrol-y for me (but lovely and soft)

The grey cable ones are fab, definitely keepers. So soft.

My gap tee order still isn't here.

I've been to the dentist this morning for a filling replacement and I've started my period so I'm feeling incredibly sorry for myself and everything aches!

moan over

Ds1's school has a pool not as grand as it sounds so they teach swimming every week saves me a job
which is good as i'm scared of water.

I tried some ancient Gap boot cuts yesterday, with a view to fashion them into Phoebe-a-likes... But they were awful on :o

BrandyAlexander · 13/03/2014 15:49

Shock Dry! Glad you're okay.

Loving everyone's links, whether purchases or lusts.

Shop, yes later today.Wink

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 13/03/2014 16:13

Hi all

mara today is my first day of 5:2. Not going too badly but dinner is always my biggest meal so I hope I don't go to bed too hungry. Hope you/DS are OK after the fall!

anni I have yet to try my Phoebes with the big turn-ups (they came rolled) because I had to wash them last night after a slight coleslaw incident Blush Grin

Gorgeous things Marsha and novice and Linus. I love that sort of OTT glittery chunky jewellery.

Dry that is crazy! Handbrake failure?!

Lovely lovely day here now after thick fog earlier. Feel like spring may actually be on its way!

shopafrolic · 13/03/2014 17:48

Waves to all. I feel guilty, I am not actually trying to lose weight, but thanks for all the congrats Grin. I hate to think how much I must drink though ordinarily to have lost 4/5 lbs in a week!
Dry glad you're ok - the owner will be relieved, it could have been much worse. Is it too late to report to the non emergency police number as presumably handbrake is still off?
Mara glad you and DS are ok. Hope you're not too bruised. I always fall over in the ice and hate it (have injured my back many times as a result).
DH is out tonight on a works 'team building' event. I will either read my book or catch up in trashy tv.
I've spent the whole afternoon in the garden tidying up, beautiful weather again here.
Novice
Anni feel better soon
One I get where you're coming from but as Liberty says, go easy.

OneLittleLady · 13/03/2014 17:52

I will Shop I know better than to push myself too much. I'm only wearing in the house right now so can take off immediately should it hurt too much.

Trying out some boots curl creme to try and encourage the wave in my hair. I never had the slightest hint of wave in my hair until a few months ago, don't know where it's come from but I'm secretly a bit pleased as I always wanted curly hair Grin

Drywhiteplease · 13/03/2014 18:00

I assume it was a handbrake thing. Drove past earlier on and the car had gone. It wasn't damaged and was safely off the road so all ok.

justasecond · 13/03/2014 18:06

Hi all
I seem to have lost my post from yesterday.
Missed my outnet delivery that I was waiting in for yesterday as I was in the garden! I saw the van drive away. It was torture.
Novice lovely jewels, so pretty!
I have been summoned for jury service and am panicking a bit .Just don't know how I will manage it. I have to be in court in the next big town 45mins away at 9am!! DH leaves the house at 7 everyday, who will do the school run!!!?? DS is only at nursery for 3 mornings. From the letter it seems there are no excuses, does anyone know if I can be excused?
Will be back later when I have caught up and calmed down.

Annianni · 13/03/2014 18:13

I think you can defer it Justa.
But if they call you again, then you have to do it

MarshaBrady · 13/03/2014 18:37

Dh is out tonight, client thing, lucky sausage I know where he is and how much fun he'll be having.

I don't weigh myself but you've all intrigued me by talking about it! Perhaps I should. As long as the clothes are not going up in size I'm ok.

Dry that is scary! I'm glad nothing bad happened.

Bonsoir gorgeous Marant and Marni.

Justa eek sounds very difficult. Perhaps delay. Eek again.
