Foolproof blusher application. Please help!

Am going to a party tonight. I don't really wear a lot of make up. Was planning on wearing tinted moisturizer, lipstick, blusher and mascara. I can never figure out how to apply blusher.

Use sparingly and apply on cheekbone area. Blend well so it isn't a stripe.

Do not smile and then put it on the apples of your cheeks. When you stop smiling the blusher will be in a deeply unflattering area on either side of your nose.
