friend's birthday at weekend wondered what to get her - she likes colours and flowers found these 2:-

Probably the second one - but depends on what friend has to wear with either, and what her tastes are.

The first. The colours of the second make it look like scattered pills! Also the first is more versatile.

Middleaged - I know what my friend has to wear, ideally I'd get a bright purple or orange necklace but I can't see ones I like with those colours right now.

I've seen her wear the colour of the first necklace and similar floral designs so think will go with this. Also I sort of remember her not liking yellow that much (though it would suit her).

Prefer the turquiose one from Topshop. I think the other one might be a bit 'diggy' and catch on the neck. Not sure.

Deathwatch - if I suited the colours and big flowers of the Top Shop one I'd get it myself, but it's not me...

but it certainly is my friend's taste, thanks. It's good you can dress it up with the diamante, wear with dark jeans, white top/blouse, so smart/casual/dressy, it is as Hyva says very versatile.
