I admit I usually shy away from 'sleb scents'. I do have JSP Lovely.

Anyhow, I was browsing through all beauty and noticed that one of the JLO perfumes was a floral chypre - however, with things like toffee and honey in it it is going to be another damn Terry Mugler/Calvin Klein bloody obsession smell a like isn't it????

I also was thinking of the miami one.

I basically hate very sweet scents but am thinking ahead to summer. Is there one you have that is not overally sweet (do not want to smell like a cupcake) or overly musky (don't much like musk in summer though I used to wear White musk from bodyshop.

By the way I tried on Bodyshops smoky rose bleurgh! Did not smell of much but watered down vinegar!!!!

I wanted something that is cheap but does not smell so!!!!!!!

For some reason, I have a soft spot for Deseo. Reviews and notes here. I used to live in the tropics and this was wonderful after dark. It's not a superb perfume but it has some edge and sharpness (the drydown can go a bit acrid) and I like it. So test on skin and see if you find one you really like. It has fruity notes and a light amber base so some sweetness is unavoidable but this does a curious sour-sweet balancing act. But if you deeply dislike orientals (Obsession is a heavy hitting big oriental) it may not work for you. Most celeb perfumes tend to be really sweet and some J Los are hyper sweet so proceed at your own risk...

I was given a bottle of Deseo, it surprised me as it was quite nice. The dry down is a soft coconut.

The problem I have with celebrity scents is poor sillage.

I discovered that m&s sell Fragonard perfumes and they are lovely.

I have bought and loved patchouli, vetiver and Fragonard

Sunday - I bought Vetiver from M&S yesterday!!!! I love Vetiver!!! Along with a gift set of M&S Isis and I know that is good for hotter days.

I just got fed up of the 'choice' in Superdrug. I would not even consider any of Rihanna's as I cannot stand her. It is all Britney/Rihanna and Beyonce in my nearest superdrug (though I did get SJP lovely and Elizabeth Arden Blue Grass there on special).
