Knee-length dresses

I've spent an hour trying every dress on in fatface (or maybe it just feels like it) love the jersey and the styles but they're all at least two inched above my old wrinkly knees.

Where else on the high street can I try for everyday jersey/casual? Cotton tea dresses too (Not an online shopper)

I don't shop online so ebay and boden are no-gos. I'm an odd/fussy bugger, need to feel the fabric and try it on before I commit. Don't have a credit card to buy loads and return later.

I am "only" 5'8" but frequently find that dresses are way too short for me and my wrinkly footballers knees. It's OK in the winter, but more of an embarassment in the summer. I have found Boden and Phase 8 sales stuff to be quite good.

And to think I used to wear mini-skirts that barely covered my bum in my yoofSad

Thanks bigtilly will check out Phase 8 too.
