well if you like them , keep them ! Could you wear them with skinnys and long socks to bridge the gap ?

If you really love them, then you could get them taken in. It's not cheap, though.

I fear those are a bit too welly like.

I have the same trouble with ankle boots.

I wish shoe makers would realise size 4 feet are attached to size 4 ankles, my legs widen out further up, but at the bottom they are quite small.
