Last month's thread HERE

Can't wait to see all your purchases. Links are always useful!

OP posts:
JohnnyDeppsfuturewife · 07/03/2014 12:38

Vicar, I like all of those (apart from the uggs but they're just not my thing.) . I'm also unsure about the shirt as it looks a bit shapeless and when i was a size 14 with skinny(ish) legs I found that clothes that were a bit more fitted were more flattering. I like the tunic and scarf. For the second time today I find myself saying 'I don't normally like patterns' but I like those.

Olddear · 07/03/2014 17:17

Hopasholic, i love the fiat! My one was red/cream interior. I wanted one for ages. They are economical to run and no road tax! Go on....treat yourself!

Hopasholic · 07/03/2014 17:43

Honestly I spend more time on the Fiat website doing calculations than I do on here at the moment olddear. Is it nice to drive? Apologies for going off on a tangent on your thread OP, I honestly did start a thread in the 'cars' topic but only had one response Blush which is one more response than some threads I've started Grin

Back to topic though! I sent the Mint velvet shoes back after putting my sensible head on and accepting I would not be capable of walking in them (or driving a shiny new red Fiat 500....)

Hopasholic, it's great to drive and park! Honestly, you won't regret it..... And to get back to OP, looking at a couple of nice cashmere/merino tops in woolovers (see previous thread) will order over the weekend I think......

newestbridearound · 07/03/2014 20:27

I love this thread Smile

So far this month a few things from the New Look sale- a plain black skater skirt, some heart print leggings, a check skater dress and some daisy trainers.

I'm obsessed with polka dots so was pleased when this arrived today (took ages, I hate H&M delivery):

www.hm.com/gb/product/16448?article=16448-D

A few necklaces from sellers on ebay, a statement ribbon one and a neon choker for the summer.

Have ordered this to see what it looks like on for a wedding soon, I go between thinking it's really pretty to really old fashioned. Will try it on and then decide:

well. most of my stuff came today. thought id update on what was worth keeping and what wasnt.

dress is a definite keeper - and a bargain at £20 in the sale. its shapely but not clingy, a lovely chunky knit, soft, and looks fab with thick tights and boots. The snood is detachable. I love it.

red scarf and
black scarf both keepers. totally dresses up the plainest of outfits. love them.

textured T in both black and cream keepers. lined. great quality. boring but nice under a cardi and with the scarves can be really dressed up.

sweater expensive for what it is but quite nice with dark blue jeans....going to keep it.

also keeping the mink chunky knit sweater - in the sale at £14 - will slob about the house with leggings and uggs!

also keeping an unlikely pair of skinny jeans in black with a jaquard print in grey....thought at first urrgh! but put them on with the black boxy tee, a cardi, some furry high heeled boots and a scarf and voila....all dressed up with no where to go! thought at £14 they were worth keeping as again in the sale.

am undecided about this cami its nice, but i would only wear it with a cardi over it. too much skin on show otherwise.....but it does skim rather than cling and the print is nice.

cardi not arrived yet but think i will probably keep it.....

Stuff going back....

sweater price is good but its not long enough on me - sits on the widest point and i look like a huge boxy sack of spuds....

shirt is going back - love the colour but it is a very shapeless baggy shirt and unless you are slim enough to tuck it into belted jeans or trousers it looks - well - shapeless and baggy. so thats going back. shame as it was half price.

tunic was foul! the high neck/collar made me look like the side of a bus. It was shapeless yet clingy at the same time - not at all flattering. shame as i liked the print....it seemed too long and boxy - not cut on the bias. didnt like it at all.

both pairs of ugg boots arrived and i love them both - didnt actually think i would but they are heavenly to wear and look much more stylish than i anticipated. as they cost me 50 odd each im going to keep both. bargains.

still going to go and try the tops on in monsoon, and id love a biker jacket, but think that might be me for now....

Dancergirl · 07/03/2014 23:31

They have really nice scarves in Next, that red one is lovely vicar

Thinking about those Molly jeggings, do they really work??

fififolle · 08/03/2014 09:09

This thread makes me feel so much better about all of the parcels that have been arriving...
this is far too bright and is going back
this, in grey is a definite keeper but I might change the button
this is to wear to a couple of weddings

this for our upcoming holiday
these for travelling in

...and possibly some Bailey buttons 'cos I'm a sheep!!

I have been naughty again.

A pair of Fatface boots, not on the website. Just like my absolute favourite KG boots (www.shoeaholics.com/sarah-black-suede-39-carvela-kurt-geiger-ladies-shoe-ex-display.html) but in brown nubucky leather.

A pair of navy skinnies and two sweatshirty jumpers from H&M.

Two (non frumpy Shock ) jumpers from the Monsoon sale.

DaftSkunk · 08/03/2014 15:03

I have just bought a fab navy dress and an extremely bargainous pair of leopard print mid heel shoes for £6 in Primark. They are like these ones.

I also got this top.

WipsGlitter · 08/03/2014 15:50

Two tops in Monsoon - both half price, not sure about one though. And a top in M&S. I seem to be on a shopping binge ATM.

CallingAllEngels · 08/03/2014 16:45

Love the dress for weddings fifi

Great dress catgirl

Just got my parcel. Top fits really well (going to get some more - they do in blue and red). Hat and sunglasses pouch lovely.

Not sure about trousers. Worried a 12 will be too tight on my hips, but the 14 is an bit too loose on high waist and baggy in leg. Hmm...

Pixiepie · 08/03/2014 19:18

Diesel louvboot jeans in light wash which i am also living in! My old ones are on the verge of falling apart. I just cannot live without my diesel jeans. They are just the best and most flattering jeans i have ever had.

lucyintheskywithdinos · 09/03/2014 08:21

Bras and pants from Figleaves, which are gorgeous and comfy.

The Next skinnies people here rave about (I got grey) which are as great as you lot said!

This which I adore.

This which is to go under a beautiful vintage emerald coloured jacket.

Laska42 · 09/03/2014 21:56

Boden Nancy Dress

Very disspointing . .skimpy top , high waistband so you look pregnant , HUGE skirt .i'm a 10/12 normally , but could only just squeeze into a 14

Just dont . (was lovely fabric though)

CockBollocks · 09/03/2014 22:04

I MUST stop now! yesterday I bought 3 tops from monsoon, all half price (the sale is fab!) and a boyfriend cardi in blue from next. also treated myself to the no 7 protect and perfect gift set in boots, saving 43£....a no7 primer and mascara. thats me done for a while! Grin

nipersvest · 10/03/2014 10:02

a pair of dark grey skinnies, reduced to £5 in primark.

this snoopy top from uniqlo, which is actually from the mens range but i bought the small thinking i'd wear it slouchy style with a vest top underneath, it's not arrived yet though.
