We're off to the US shortly and will be doing a LOT of walking/traipsing about. It'll mainly be pavements and parks type stuff (not trekking) but I need some comfy shoes/trainers that will meet the following criteria:

  • be comfy/reasonably supportive for being on my feet all day
  • ideally be showerproof
  • be fairly warm (I ALWAYS have chilblains on my toes)
  • have some semblance of style
  • can be worn with skinny jeans/similar trousers

I do have a pair of Converse but they're not all that supportive for long days. Have been looking at these: [[http://www.merrell.com/UK/en-GB/Product.mvc.aspx/34586W/85906/Womens/Barefoot-Life-Wish-Glove-Black?dimensions=0 Merrells] but more style would be welcomed.

I'm hopeless at shopping so perhaps you lot can help!

How about these? you need to buy one size up from usual as they come up small.

How about fit flop ballet flats. They are not the mist beautiful things but they are so comfortable, like wearing slippers. The chunky sole means they are supportive and easy to walk in. I can't wear anything else now if I have to walk anywhere.
