Bra intervention help!

I'm going on a shopping trip this weekend and really need to get some new bras. I'm currently wearing a 36b but it's soo uncomfortable. The back digs in and rides up, boobs bulge out by my armpits etc.

I've just measured myself and under bust I'm 36in and over bust while leaning forward I'm 42in. Can anyone tell me what size I should start with?

Thanks in advance

Hmm 36DD?

TheScience · 27/02/2014 21:17

That's a 6" difference so I'd start with a 36E. Depending on the make/style of bra you might have to try a few sizes around that.

Yup, start with 36E however how tight was that underbust measurement? You mention your bras are riding up - are they a bit elderly? You might also want to try 34F/FF to combat that

Really!? my boobs are quite tiny compared to the rest of me.
Statistically, yes my bras are rather old. The under bust measurement was tight...

Where's the best place to look for decent quality bras that are not too expensive? Most of my collection are primark and they are pretty rubbish.

long term buying online is the best bet - brands like freya, panache, cleo, curvy kate, bravissimo can often be had for good deals. Trying on, assuming you don't have a Bravissimo then debenhams, john lewis or house of fraser will stock those sizes.

We have a debenhams and john lewis so I'll try those and report back.
