I bought these sandals from New Look a couple of years ago and have worn them to death because they were so comfy. I have enormous problems with shoes / sandals rubbing and making my feet bleed on the toes and heels. I also have very narrow feet and I slip out of sandals if they don't have straps (several straps or one very thick strap at the sides near the front.)
I searched all last summer for a replacement sandal but couldn't find anything suitable. I am going away in April and getting desperate.
So in summary:
Must be flat
No toe posts (I can't keep them on and they hurt)
Straps at the sides to support my foot and stop it slipping forward
Neutral colour (but I did like the bit of bling on the original new look ones)
Single strap at the heel - no closed I back.

Anyone seen anything that might do?

Please can someone help me find some sandals.

Someone linked to These earth spirit sandals the other day. Supposed to be very comfortable to wear. Also in black.

Hmmm - not bad, I hadn't seen those before. Heel looks a little clumpy but worth considering - thanks!

starting with new look if they suited you well before:

gold elastic, also in other neutral colours
similar to above
tan leather gladiator
silver buckled
white leather

I have similar ones to these (mine were orange) from Clarks - very comfortable and lots of support:

I think generally Clarks shoes are quite comfortable. However, they do have a closed back which I note you're not keen on.

Or how about hush puppies? www.hushpuppies.com/UK/en/Womens-Sandals

I like the look of the Caposhi ones. Or the Nishi.

Saltwater sandals - I have very blister prone skin and not one blister appeared. Lots of people commented on how lovely they were too!

Warehouse had some great ones but last summer, gold ones bit like yours.

then again I got some sandals from them and they hurt to buggery (thong toe in between bit).
