Is there any website or miracle product that can help me gain weight to achieve an hourglass figure? I'm fed up of looking like a boy, I go in and out in the right places (if you look close enough) but would love to have proper curves like Kelly Brooke. I'm 5'2 and 8 stone 4lbs and a 30D bra size, know its a shot in the dark but help...

Unfortunately, just as you can't spot reduce fat neither can choose where it goes on. Sods law equates it wil go on the last place you'ld want

Why not accentuate what you have with clothes. Think about 50s styling as it was all about the curves then.

healthy weight gain, a little more protein at each meal bit of extra olive oil, extra slice of granary bread, handful of nuts added to cereal, swap to whole milk and normal not low fat yogurts

think title of healthy weight gain and first sentence of miracle product are a bit contradictory

Unless you're under eating at the moment gaining wait will just make you fat. If you're a healthy weight for your frame (which it sounds like you are) embrace what you've got. Kelly brook is nearly 5 ft 7. You cant carry her curves. You'll look dumpy. Youre in proportion just as you are. Few of us are. Enjoy it.

Your BMI is healthy, you're not underweight, so learn to love yourself :) Slim is just as beautiful.

I understand your pain op. I am very slim and have been doing more exercise (cardio and Pilates) to tone up rather than lose weight. I've also cut out crap (sugar, crisps etc) but eat home cooked family food such as pasta, roasts, chilli etc.

I have lost 1/2 stone. I don't want to lose weight just be healthy. How do you avoid the gaunt look? Just want toned healthy curves! Any ideas?

A corset would help

Fourandcounting - I would see a personal trainer about doing weights and toning exercises.

Sleepwhenidie · 24/02/2014 15:04

Consider weight training...if you can build up your shoulders and lats (the muscles in your back just under your armpits) so that they are more defined and also get your bum and thighs stronger then this will create the impression of a smaller waist and beautiful, strong, toned curves. You will need to combine the training with plenty of protein to achieve this though.

Plenty of good fat (nuts, seeds, oily fish, eggs, avocadoes, cold pressed oils, nut butters) will all make your skin (and hair and nails) look great and hopefully reduce any 'gaunt' look.

I find chocolate and wine really helps Wink

Fourandcounting · 24/02/2014 15:34

Thanks for the tips. I've been eating nuts, good fats etc. j feel really toned and my muscle definition is good but I just feel very slight. I'm now a size 6.
Weight training is that doing things like squats with weights etc. I really want to tone my bottom up like Beyoncé!

Sleepwhenidie · 24/02/2014 16:17

Yes, squats and deadlifts with heavy weights will give you a great bum. I like lifting heavy (I promise, I don't look remotely like Arnie, you won't get really bulky) but that's not everyone. If you fancy it, get some prope instruction from a knowledgable friend or even better, a PT to start off. Good technique is v important Grin.

chickydoo · 24/02/2014 16:26

You sound slim op, but not skinny. I am 5foot 7 and weigh 8 stone 7lbs, so 3lbs more than you. I have curves. 30D and have 37 inch hips. Ok my limbs are quite skinny and I have a small waist. I think it is not weight you need to gain but maybe just tone up a bit? You sound fine to me. All of us have different body shapes, and sometimes we can't change that.
