Vests, leggings etc. Mine are pretty much all done for and I want replacements that will last...

TIA

Maybe I am much older than you, but this will bump the thread at least Grin. I wear casual soft trousers for work, that are a kind of jogger/legging/soft trouser mix, and I get them from Lands End. Many of their tops are excellent too. I think they are called Starfish trousers, or similar, but well worth a look.

frankietwospots · 22/02/2014 21:57

Uniqlo for vests but size down.

Notify · 22/02/2014 22:03

I need to know this.

Vests/camis
Slim fit T-shirts
Long sleeved T-shirts

The sort of thing I used to pay a little bit more for in M&S and which would wash and keep their shape beautifully but which M&S have been truly rubbish at for at least the last 10 years.

I will pay a good price for a bit of decent quality but everything thing seems so cheap (even when the price isn't)

cloudskitchen · 22/02/2014 22:11

Uniqlo for long sleeve plain tops in every imaginable colour. I think they do vests and leggings to. Good quality.

frankietwospots · 22/02/2014 22:13

Notify, have you tried Boden?

peggyblackett · 22/02/2014 22:15

Next as they do a cheap Tall range. Not fabulous quality, but the sleeve length is right.

Possiblyorange · 22/02/2014 22:16

Another vote for Uniqlo. Also H&M for camisoles, especially longer length ones. I never find their t-shirts long enough though. I like Splendid and Vince if I'm feeling flush.

Notify · 22/02/2014 22:18

I did have a LS t-shirt from Boden a few seasons ago. Wasn't very impressed with the quality TBH.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 22/02/2014 22:26

Vests - H&M as they are nice and long and wash well.
T shirts - M&S Limited, or Hobbs, or White Company.

ParsleyTheLioness · 22/02/2014 22:36

Lands End do good long sleeved t shirts Notify. Quality pretty good.

Notify · 22/02/2014 22:37

I will look at Lands End thanks Parsley

newtonupontheheath · 22/02/2014 22:44

I bought some leggings from hush. They're awesome. Really thick (thinker than some jeans I've had!) I can see them lasting for years, as they're washing really well.

winterlace · 22/02/2014 23:17

For vest tops and long sleeved tops I really like Dorothy Perkins.

Bananapud · 22/02/2014 23:26

Vests - H and M or Hush
Camis - M & S
Short sleeve t shirts - Boden, Vince
Long sleeve layering t shirts - white company (but cost ££) and Boden (cheap in sale)
Leggings - Tu from Sainsbury's luxury version £10. Better than Boden.

Apatite1 · 22/02/2014 23:40

Uniqlo

trader21c · 23/02/2014 06:44

always uni qlo

QueenCadbury · 23/02/2014 07:11

Dorothy Perkins for basic tees and vests. Their cotton ones wash really well.

WeGotAnnie · 23/02/2014 13:41

Leggings from Topshop. I get the long length black and black ponte ones and they wash well and dont fade.

Bests from Next as they do a decent colour range and a longer length.

Struggle with long sleeved tees....so will watch with interest

WeGotAnnie · 23/02/2014 13:41

*vests

quirrelquarrel · 23/02/2014 14:28

Annie you know the Topshop ponte leggings....I bought a pair about three years ago and just bought another pair recently and they're not the same at all, they're thinner and feel different. Do you find that?

Forever21 is brill for long sleeved tops. And Bershka's good too.
I always look in the men's section for tops, sometimes the fit looks wrong, but it's worth a look.

FamiliesShareGerms · 23/02/2014 14:50

Another Uniqlo purchaser here. Muji used to be good for vests too, but haven't bought from there for a while so can't vouch for them, but excellent quality cotton and silk.

WeGotAnnie · 23/02/2014 14:53

Ooh havent bought any for about year@quirrel. I hope not :-(

Rattitude · 23/02/2014 14:59

I have bought 8 of the Dunnes vests in a variety of colours for me, my sister and my Mum.

They are great: the quality is excellent, they are super long and they are £5.

I have also bought their 3/4 sleeve long-line top, which is great too.

Link to long-sleeved tee-shirts.

iMe · 23/02/2014 16:41

I have Gap vests & pants after a recommendation on here. They are good.

godlessdomestic · 23/02/2014 16:54

I love Primark vests - they are super long, seem to wash well & keep their shape. Really good value for a base layer. May have to investigate Uniqlo as well as haven't looked at their range before.
