Porter magazine

Anyone read it?

Thinking of grabbing a copy for sofa reading material tomorrow night when DH is away, but I haven't even had a chance to flick through one in WHSmiths yet. I imagine it's a bit of a Marmite read. Thought I'd see if anyone here loved / loathed it and more importantly if it's worth a fiver

Well I bought it. Let's just say that I won't be wasting £5 on the next issue. Some of the writing was just cringeworthy.

Lol at Porter woman, what tripe.

I haven't yet, Vogue ed did the ultimate put down - an upmarket Sainsbury's mag which I thought was funny.

Still I like ultra fashiony stuff so will have a look, maybe at the hairdressers.

Not only is the price an issue but the first time I saw it I didn't realise that it was connected to NAP so I read the title as Porter as in the person who delivers your suitcases. I can't get that out of my head now and it freaks me out. BTW I do realise this make me sound odd....

It's on sale at a nearby Tesco, by the tills with the daffs and hessian bags, in an area of recognised social and economic deprivation . Incongruous doesn't even cover it.

I was surprised to see a new, expensive, fashion magazine on the shelves at a time when glossy magazines are haemorrhaging money and have resorted to deep discounts! £5 is a very ambitious price for what I assumed would be an extended Net a Porter catalogue with a few hackneyed articles chucked in to pad out the perfume adverts. Which, judging by what the ladies have said above, is exactly what it is!
