I've got one. I bought it from my dermatologist but you can buy them online. I use it with Retin A a few times a week but I built up my Retin A use slowly and on its own for several months before I started using it with the derma roller. I think my skin is a lot better (fresher, brighter etc) but it is a bit uncomfortable to use and it makes my skin peel slightly.

Thanks do you know what size the needles are? Has it helped on forehead lines?

mummy you really need it done professionally to help with that. The practitioner will use a genuine Detmaroller with (iirc) 1.5 mm needles and you'll probably have 3 sessions six weeks apart.

Never use needles of that size on yourself. The genuine Dermaroller home roller has much smaller needles (think it's 0.5mm) and is really for product absorption rather than skin repair..

I agree that to tackle lines it's best to have it done professionally. It's a treatment my dermatologist recommends and says the results are good. She says it compares favourably to many other treatments.

You get a local anaesthetic cream so not really.. Bit nippy when that wears off but just like a bit of sunburn..

I've seen the 0.5 ones on amazon, would that be a good size to start with?

What's the best serum/moisturiser to use afterwards.

I was thinking of vodka as an alternative anaesthetic?!

The 0.5 won't make any impact on lines.

I've had it done by an aesthetician combined with a retinol peel - 3 x sessions. The results were amazing, plump, fresh face!

I have also bought a Medik8 0.5 roller for home use and the results are pretty good as well. I use a retin A but not after my home dermarolling. Instead I use a Medik8 Retinol 3TR.

I find the most sensitive part of my face to use the roller is between my lips and nose. I don't like that at all.
I really think it's best to start with a .3mm if you haven't had it done as a in salon treatment first. When it comes to your face it's better to err on the side of caution.

i got a 1mm roller from amazon and some vitamin serum, i havent noticed a massive difference but im lazy and forget to do it

You need tribe careful doing this yourself. With a needle big enough to make a real difference to deeper lines you're at risk of damaging your skin/scarring yourself!

I've has it done professionally. They apply an anesthetic cream and it does help because you can feel it where the cream has been missed. The results are brilliant.y face is plumper and my lines from nose to mouth are less prominent. Mostly though I love that I look in the mirror when I get up in the morning and it looks fresh. I would recommend it.
