Another bra intervention thread. Help needed!

I've recently stopped breastfeeding and desperately need some new underwear now my boobs have gone like a pair of spaniels ears back to normal.

I've just done the measurements and my under bust is 38 inches and over bust is 48 (I am a size 18 btw). I'm really confused about working out the cup size. Can anyone help? I'm probably just being a bit dim but it doesn't make sense to me!

Also, where would I be best looking for bras in my size? I'm usually a bit of a cheapskate when it comes to underwear (Asda etc) but I know I need to spend a bit more for something decent which will last me. I got my nursing bra from Bravissimo but wasn't very impressed with the lady who fit me and I ended up with a bra which was very uncomfortable around the band. I know it may have been a one off so would it be worth trying them again?

I would try a 38GG and 38H as a starting point
Brastop and amazon are good for branded bras at a reduced price

GG and H sounds huge Shock this is what I can't get used to haha. I always used to wear a B or C cup pre-pregnancy. I was definitely way out!

It's not, I promise Grin
I'm a 34JJ and people only ever notice my boobs in a low cut top and plunge bra!!

Any more tips on where to get some decent bras from, where I can try them on?

OK, Bravissimo is your best bet but if you haven't got one close by then most branches of JL, Debenhams and HoF should have a good selection of makes and styles.
