I am thinking of getting my brows sorted. They have gone all weird but I am a wimp and lazy. How dificult will it be to maintain them? And this product - Gimme brow by Benefit - has anyone used it?

Anyone?

I really want to try it but didn't think it was released in the uk til march 1st?
At the minute I get mine threaded and tinted every few weeks, I always think brows are best left to the professionals when it comes to shaping them. Interested to hear what gimme brows is like -I use brow zings in between tinting and it's brilliant!

nkf · 09/02/2014 17:52

What's Brow Zings? Mine don't need tinting. They are dark but scanty at the ends.

Brow zings is a fab product, I used to use it all the time. Not sure why I stopped, now I think about it, might buy it again!

I saw gimme brows on QVC a couple of weeks ago. I have to admit that I love brow zings and their speed brow and because they last such a long time it'll be a while before I get to try it.

It looked great though. Might be worth a try at the counter.

1974rach · 09/02/2014 18:05

sorry I forgot to say that brow zings is a powder which you use to define your brows, and a wax which you use to shape and sculpt your brow.

Lasts for ever.

I bought some eyebrow stencils from Amazon. They were really cheap. You put it over your natural brow and brush over the stencil with a matching eyeshadow. Very effective & simple!

I have never done any of these things. I am totally confused. Totally. I think I will make an appointment at some brow place though they look terrifying. But my eyebrows have gone and I miss them.

Threading is amazing.

Get them threaded and they will neaten them and shape them for you, then you can pluck the stray hairs to maintain the shape in between threading sessions.
Then buy yourself an eyebrow pencil and follow your eyebrow shape with soft feathery strokes which will define the brow, filling in any sparse gaps and you can add on bits at the end if your brows are short (like mine).

Failing that get hd brows. That's my next big beauty splurge.

nkf · 09/02/2014 18:19

Okay. So, get them done once and then maintain? HD brows?

I've been using the Maybelline Brow Drama thingy...looks like a mascara but has a weird shaped little brush. Good choice of colours which for once I can use - normally it's a nightmare to find one when you're very pale blonde. And the best part for me is that once it's on it stays on, unlike the powders which always wore off during the day. Only £4.99 in Boots.

Lj8893 · 09/02/2014 18:59

Scrap the hd brow idea, too much for a brow newbie I think!!

Get them threaded and then maintain, I pluck my eyebrows as part of my daily make up routine. Then I get them threaded when I think about it/have the time. Maybe once every few months.

nkf · 09/02/2014 19:12

I've just looked at pictures of HD brows and that is the look I want. Slightly arched, a bit bent in the middle, very thick.

My natural eyebrows are caterpillars but they seem to have gone thin. I wouldn't mind the old brows back. I like thick brows but they are sparse.

I like the look of Gimme Brow - does anyone know if they're definitely releasing it over here?

OP I like the Clinique brow shaper or for a cheaper option MUA (Superdrug) do a good one.

nkf · 09/02/2014 21:28

There is no way I will use a powder and brush thingummy. I know myself and I just won't. I am low maintenance. I just can't get away with being so low maintenance. But there's no way I am going to take up a powder and brush morning routine. I can probably handle a pencil. That's a bit like drawing on brows right?

I haven't HD foxy kit, it is fairly natural p, unlike getting them done as salon. I love it.

thecherryontop · 09/02/2014 23:15

Cambridge -gimme brow is def being released in uk -it's in the latest version of the free asos magazine

PinkandTwinkly · 10/02/2014 06:44

Yep, Gimme Brow is a QVC exclusive until March and then will be available everywhere.
Had a play a the Beauty Bash and it looks fab, its more than just a tinted mascara for brows it actually seemed to add more brow.

The tube is weeny tho

madmomma · 10/02/2014 08:15

what are hd brows please?

Helpyourself · 10/02/2014 09:16

Anyone tried the eyebrow growth stuff linked to on here last week?
I'm tempted as mine are sparse, but in the wrong place, but its £££.

CambridgeBlue · 10/02/2014 09:32

Brilliant, thanks cherry :)
