Can't get the link to work on my phone but Catch Kidston has a navy Fitted cardigan with a bold teapot print. It really caught my eye. They had it in their window paired with a knee length full skirt in navy with bold polka dots.

Does it sound a bit crazy? I am very stressed at work so it might be the first sign of an imminent breakdown.

Is it this one?

I like bold prints but this might be a bit too bold even for me! I suppose paired with a plain skirt it might look OK...

MrsLettuce · 05/02/2014 13:30

this one? I love a bit of quirk but I'm not a fan of it, I'm afraid. The jumper version is a marginally better, possibly. The neckline would do nowt for me though.

Teapot print cheapie dress? Teapot blouse? Wink

dexter73 · 05/02/2014 13:34

No!!! You will look like a toddler in it!

Sillysarah49 · 05/02/2014 13:34

Very jolly! You can do better.

Cucumberscarecrow · 05/02/2014 15:33

Sorry for disappearing. Thanks for the advice. Yes, ×Curls×, that was the one. I can see that I might look like a toddler. Thankfully I had enough sense to wait and not buy impulsively.

The teapot cheapie tea dress is nice however. And not remotely crazy.

Don't do it, cucumber! Have a gin and tonic instead.

burnishedsilver · 05/02/2014 19:19

You might get away with that print on pyjamas but both on daytime clothes.

Hullygully · 05/02/2014 19:21

lord

everyone will sing I'm a little teapot at you

be prepared

HeadFullofSteam · 05/02/2014 19:23

I want to like it, but I don't. The print is too big. Love the teapot dress though.

NorbertDentressangle · 05/02/2014 19:25

Hell, no.

Don't do it!

QueenThora · 05/02/2014 19:29

I quite like the teapot design, but not for a cardi. Pjs yes, or a full 50s style skirt maybe, or a tea towel. I don't really like print on a cardi, it feels wrong.

It's not THAT bonkers though, don't worry!

"She has been feeling the strain lately..."

"Yes, but that cardi... OMG"

"CALL SECURITY!"

piratecat · 05/02/2014 19:29

yes the dress is kooky cute, the cardi is just odd.

Cucumberscarecrow · 05/02/2014 19:49

Ha! That is a resounding no. I'm glad I asked here and not in AIBU.

I feel it is only fair to say it is nicer in real life than in the photo but still has huge teapots going on so, no, I am over it. Thanks for saving me sixty quid and my dignity.

Glad you saw sense before spending the money and then seeing a thread on here along the lines of "OMG! I've just seen a grown woman in the most hideous cardigan ever. Was she wearing it as a bet?"

DolomitesDonkey · 05/02/2014 21:48

Shapeless. Looks like a smock for a toddler's painting session. Holy smokes!

DontmindifIdo · 05/02/2014 21:51

I'm assuming you are over the age of 7, if so, it will not be a good look on you.

Coumarin · 05/02/2014 23:33

It's a bit Jean off Eastenders. I quite like a quirky print but even I recoiled.

HeadFullofSteam · 06/02/2014 09:04

"a bit Jean off Eastenders" - yes! Grin
