bbh making my hair flat

Confused where am I going wrong?

I like that it's smoothing it out but it looks flatter than with hairdryer and a bit greasy? I'm using heat protecting styling spray. Shoulder length ish thick hair.I'm sure it looked better the first time I tried bbh but can't work out why Confused am doing it on 85% dry hair. Any advice?

I don't use a heat protection spray because I don't like the stickiness. Are you using it close enough to the roots of your hair?

tracyandeli · 02/02/2014 21:03

Are you talking about a Brazilian blow dry?

MissBeehiving · 02/02/2014 21:04

Hermione's talking about the Babyliss Big Hair

pussycatmomma · 02/02/2014 21:06

What is bbh?

WipsGlitter · 02/02/2014 21:07

I'd not use the spray personally. I find it gives bounce at tte ends rather than lift at the roots.

tracyandeli · 02/02/2014 21:09

Oh I see, try using your hair dryer first to add volume to the root area by turn your head upside down then use bbh to do the rest. Keep using the heat defence but sparingly.

thanks Thanks
maybe it is the spray, I'll try upside down blow drying and using bbh for ends - do we think it's ok to use bbh every time? I know it gets hot (although not using the hottest setting) but then I'm cutting down on blowdrying time

I bought one last month for my birthday.
I don't think it's very good tbh
I have long thick straight hair so got the bigger barrelled bbh.
Hair dryer is just as good and quicker.

You could just spray the ends as well, thats what I try to do.
