I new here. I'm trying to make an effort with myself, diet, exercise & skin care routine.

Can anyone recommend any vitamins for skin / hair / general health.

Thank you

Starflower oil. I find it helps with skin and general mood (pmt and all that).

I agree with starflower, but have also used Perfectil for skin, hair & nails, and they seemed to work

Good quality fish oils are great for the skin.

if you eat a good varied diet, plenty of veg and fresh food, and have no medical conditions you don't need any vitamins. You just make expensive urine with them.

eat food - tastes better and is cheaper.

You need to address these things through what you eat. Vitamins in tubs are a waste of money. Skin benefits from Omega 3 found in oily fish- salmon twice week or a can of sardines on toast and plenty of dark green veggies.

Hair is made up of protein so you need to eat good quality protein- lean meat, fish and eggs.

Nails- people used to think poor nails was lack of calcium but often it's due to nails being dry like skin, so the Omega 3 applies then.

Almonds and walnuts are full of good oils.

There was something not long ago about the wastage of money on vitamins as well as the potential harm they can do if overdosed- google it and BBC and you should find it- was around about 4 weeks ago.

Thanks for the advice, I do eat a good diet generally. My usually shiny hair has gone dull and my chin has gone very spotty all the time (never usually suffer with spots) so I was hoping vitamins may help.

B vitanins are good for skin and hair. Holland and Barrett sell timed release ones.
