Good lipstick recommendations

Title says it all really. I'm looking for recommendations for a good lipstick. I've tried lots of cheaper brands (less than £10) and find that they either don't last or those that do, are very drying and just look like a tint on my lips. I am thinking I need to spend up to around £25 for a decent one that has a good colour, isn't drying and will last, so am hoping someone here can help me out.........

Any colour preferences?

Topshop lipstick is excellent and lasts. Packaging is lovely quality too.

Maybelline 24hr lip colour (the double-ended one) is really great and very comfortable to wear, wide range of colours too. Rimmel Apocalips is similar in that it's a liquid lipstick/lacquer (not a gloss), and is very comfortable to wear.

NYX matte lipstick

(I realise none of those are over £10 so sorry if you've tried them!)

Agree with Top Shop. I have one of their velvet finish ones in Macaroon and love it.

I usually go for a brown/plum colour as I get good wear out of it. Haven't actually tried Topshop so will look there. Interested to hear how you get on today in your quest!!

Revlon have a gloss/stain for 7.99 that is amazing. It is a plum colour, lasts all day and does not dry out your lips... Colour payoff is fab.

I am very impressed with the red no 7 lip crayon I bought recently.

I always use No 7 Moisture Drench, lasts quite well and lots of colours to choose from. They also do Stay Perfect which is supposed to last 8 hours.
