What to do with a heavy thick bob

I have thick but fine hair cut at about chin length into a bob, it's neither curly nor straight. I've finally grown out an inverted bob and lots of layers and it's almost one length but now I find it as wide as it's long because it's so thick - so thick that I can't tuck it behind my ears without it springing out. Could I get some layers cut into it without going back to the mess it was before? Oh and I've got a fringe which is too heavy too! Which I'm thinking of growing or feathering it

Nelly may, are you me?? I have the same prob....hair gets triangular after a while. I always try and grow it out but always end up going back to an inverted bob as it just seems to suit my hair best. I do get fed up with it after a while and try to grow it out but then I remember why I don't have long hair! I don't find layers help that much....it just still feels like too much hair. I'm really interested to know whether anyone has any good advice on this one!

Another pyramid head here Hope someone has some ideas! I had mine cut into a just below chin bob in November and it was ok at first.. now grown a bit and too big. But layers make it frizz!

My hair is also very thick ...I have a shoulder length bob but have long layers through it, also thinned out... I use good high heat straighteners.

I usually have pyramid hair when bob length (can I just say I originally read 'bob' as 'nob' in your thread title )

But my hair is really long at the moment so the weight of it stops the pyramid thing going on iykwim but sadly it's recently gone past that and is now looking thin and witchy and in dire need of a chop.

So have been looking at hairstyles and love Margot Robbie's hairstyle at the Wolf of Walstreet premiere. I know she's bloody gorgeous and would suit anything but I think her hairstyle is really wearable. Tousled loose waves/curls (I'm thinking this would work with natural waviness) with a lot of product to stop frizz/pyramid.

Also note the Kirby grips behind her ear - I struggle to tuck my thick hair behind my ears too

I've got similar hair which I've actually just cut into a bob after a couple of years at shoulder length because I was bored. It looks nice at the moment but I'm sure it will be looking triangular in 4 or 5 weeks If you can persist with growing it until it's a bit closer to your shoulders and then have lots of layers put in so it kicks up I found that a really flattering style

My hair is the same I always have mine thinned with the thinning scissors and I find this makes a huge difference as it takes the bulk boxie look out of it.

I have hair as you describe. I get mine thinned out like a wire-haired dog. Inverted bob trimmed regularly is the way to go.

As my sister says, it's better to have triangular hair than square roots. :/
