Proper waterproof coat

After getting caught in a very heavy downpour yesterday i've discovered that my supposedly waterproof Lands end coat didn't fair very well!

Im now on the look out for a new more waterproof coat.. Properly waterproof!
Also would like it to cover my bum, have a hood, be warm and look good, ie be a little fitted.

Any ideas?

I have this one from Trespass www.trekwear.co.uk/womens/jackets/waterproof_jackets/trespass_manhattan_ladies_waterproof_jacket_black.htm

It's brilliant, really warm, long line and fitted so quite flattering. Looks much better on than in the picture!

Try Target Dry!! I have their unpadded Emily parka and the padded Georgia parka. Both properly waterproof yet still feel fashionable. Also v quick delivery. Highly recommended. Check out the schoolgatestyle blog as there was a discount code for Target Dry there.

Came on here to recommend target dry and seen I've been beaten too it Smile have the three quarter length coat so it covers bum completely, deep hood (great in cold as well as rain), totally waterproof and looks good.

I grew up in Sydenham!

Anyway... I have a waterproof (NOT waxed) Barbour. I love it, it's actually and properly waterproof. It's the Outlaw. It's also toasty warm :)

I have this Craghoppers one and I can guarantee that it is waterproof and warm. Maybe not quite so stylish, but in the pouring rain, quite frankly, looking stylish is the last thing I am concerned about.
