Gap sizing?

Can anyone advise if Gap jean sizing is true to size? I seem to remember it being very generous but I've no time to try as there's a 20% off voucher that expires tonight!

I am a size 8 and take a 26 not sure if that is generous or not. But, they definitely stretch with wear so need to be REALLY tight when you try them on.

Not what you want to hear, but I find it to be inconsistent.

Huge. I take 2 sizes below what I usually take (not including the reduction for American sizing - 4 sizes smaller if you include that).

I agree with pink. I'm normally an 8 it a 28 waist but in gap I'm a size 6 or 26inch waist and they definitely stretch.

The other annoying thing is that they sometimes size things in inches and sometimes in UK sizes and sometimes in US sizes!

I think they're free returns so why don't you buy a few pairs and try them?

Random I have two pairs with exactly the same stock code and exactly the same size one pair fit perfectly, the others are too tight.

JanuaryShoes exactly the same here sometimes I even think I need a 25inch waist at the end of a 'thin day'!

I've had the same experience starballbunny. I take a pile of jeans, same style and size, into the dressing room to see which fits best. They are all slightly different.
