Lost sight in one eye last year, v short sighted in other (-14) only make up I can wear is lipgloss Confused can't wear any eye makeup but need some sort if foundation help. I used to wear Chanel luminaire I think it was called fir work and various bb creams when not but I've not git the courage to try them in case I look terrible and just can't see it. Off to John Lewis to be brave in a bit was thinking that mineral powder maybe? I'm 40 not very wrinkly that I can see but honey blonde with ruddy Smile cheeks. Any pointers I'd be grateful for. Oh and no powder gets in my gargoyle eye Wink

Some mineral powders are fine but not all cover ruddy cheeks. If John Lewis has a bare minerals or some other miner counter -ask them to put half on your face and let you do the other (no point them putting it on if you cannot get it right).

I do sympathise as my eye sight is shite. I tried make up glasses but they just get n the way when I apply eye make up.

I think mineral powder is the way to go as less chance of tide marks. I don't use mineral powder myself (though I did like Lily Lolo for covering up rosy cheeks) as my eyes water so much like I am crying and don't want a mess on my face!

I so like Max Factor whipped creme foundation (with brush and fingers). It dries to a velvety finish so may not help if your skin is really dry but it is a pleasure to use and not one that leaves streaks like a liquid might.

Anyway, try the mineral powder bit (you do half and the SA does half), first and see how you get on. Otherwise maybe a creme compact might do??

Bare minerals is great for the ruddy faced woman!Grin

The assistants are great at showing you how to apply and advising on colours.
