Over 50 with long hair

I have good hair which I have coloured very regularly. Its probably my best feature and is currently longer than its ever been in my life - not to my bra strap, but long enough to twirl up and clip into a messy bun.

I get most compliments when I wear it down, but this requires heated rollers. If I just leave it down without the effort its straight and I look like an old witch rather unkempt.

Consequently I usually do the twirl it and clip it up trick, but I know this makes me look rather severe and school marmish.

Any hair ideas for me? Smile

pony taill? Elegant plait?

straight hair is lovely. Keep it. Ignore the 'chop it off and get a blue rinse' nonsense, it is 2014.

I agree don't chop it off. One of my best friends is 60 and has THE most gorgeous streaky auburn hair. It's just longer than shoulder length and she does the heated rollers wave and clips it up at one side. It looks amazing.
