Help - a bit clueless about interview wear

I've got an interview at short notice, current work is v. casual so don't have any appropriate work wear.

Could I wear this to an interview?

And are ankle boots meant to be this loose round the ankle?

It's this dress so not just black

that's fine. do you have a jacket too?

get some shoes, any shoes. even Primark/H&M plastic ones that pass if you're short of cash. those boots are dire.

I'd go for a jacket regardless (H&M do reasonable and smarter ones), a dash of color etc. The jacket well if I were interviewing even for this job it just LOOKS more professional. than without one.

I'm a 30h so finding a jacket that fits is easier said than done. I'm sort of thinking it will be a bit of a check as well, anywhere that discounts me on the basis of not wearing a jacket but otherwise smart is probably not somewhere I'm going to get on Smile

If i could get cheap shoes that fit I'd get some, but most are so big on me that I can't walk in them.

Interview is either Friday or Tuesday next week, waiting on confirmation.

Soul I'll try and find my jacket as H&M have had it in for ages it's sort of elasticated and with a zip. I have norks too (28ff) and its fab.

Otherwise Pepperberry. Clothing side of Bravissimo. Good thing you have plenty of time! Smile

I know your feelings re jacket but I'm like you, don't wear them now and have worn at interview.

To me and i think a potential employer it just says you're making an effort re being smart. The last interviewers I saw wore jackets. And you don't need to wear it again.

Well, I abandoned the dress, managed to find a suit, got offered the position but not sure I actually want it now! Role not quite what I thought.
