cleaning pale grey suede bag

it got an oil stain on it and i scrubbed with a brush and a tiny bit of washing up liquid and i think i have made it worse :( can it be salvaged?

I used this on a pink suede bag that I got grease on and some dry clean only curtains with greasy hand prints, it worked. I bought mine off Amazon but this is the same product.
