New eye make up recommendations

BumPop · 24/01/2014 17:51

I am suffering through a horrid bout of conjunctivitis. So when it is finally gone, I will need to buy all new eye make up. I have been wearing the same things for years and have a lot of black mascaras, black kohl pencils, black liquid liners, black felt liners, etc. So this is a great opportunity for a revamp.

Please suggest something new and easy for me. As I'll initially be experimenting, cheap suggestions are preferred along with basic instructions. Shock

I work in a professional environment so need to look smart. I have hazel eyes and medium brown short hair. A roundish face with small, but pouty lips.

Please help and give me something to look forward to as I cry through the pain!

If you are in London, Kiko at Oxford Circus and Westfield, Stratford and White City is very good, colourful, cheap, and very popular in Italy.
MUA in Superdrug seems to be recommended as well. I've never had good results with cheap mascara, though!

MUA at Superdrug does indeed have lovely eyeshadows and liner in lots of colours really cheap!

Urban Decay is a more expensive option: gorgeous colours. Mildew is my favourite, if they are still doing it.

My Lancôme black eyeliner is down to a tiny stump but is very good.

Definitely second the recommendations of MUA and Urban Decay. I absolutely love UD and only wear their eyeliners, they have loads of brilliant colours, I find them easy to apply and they last well.

Purple/lilac shades look amazing with hazel eyes. Barry M waterproof eyeliner pencil in purple is really nice
and Bourjois do a set of 3 little eyeshadows in lovely lilac colours.

Sleek range from Superdrug is truly great. BTW Superdrug have their Technique brushes buy one get one half price and they are amazing !

Thank you all. I like the idea of trying colored pencils. Do you wear them with black mascara still?

Looks like superdrug is my first stop, but will remember other suggestions next time I'm in central London.

When you do buy new eyeshadow Urban decay naked palettes are great, also USA brand Tarte expanding into uk. I love Bobbi Brown and MAC colours. Can't get on with cheaper but L'oreal also nice.

I wear them with max factor tonal mascara based on eye colour
