Over 50's fashion help

Hi there, I am currently in my final year at university, and for my dissertation I am looking into the consumer behaviour of the over 50's. So if any of you are kind enough to answer my survey to help me out I would be very grateful. I will leave the link below.

Thank you for your time

Done... And if you can persuade the high street to cater for over 50 but not quite past it market, would be extremely grateful!!!

Done - after which I realised that the high street for over 50's is crap! I actually struggled to think what shops I buy from. I actually enjoy going round the charity shops more now.

Done, but not sure whether my opinion counts!! :)

Done - and exactly what Head said :)

Can I be really over-50's-ish and give you some bits of other feedback (not sure if you can tweak your survey still though)?

  • item 6: the answer to this of course is that it depends on the fashion brand - some (eg Guess, All Saints) obviously target younger consumers, some (Next, Boden, H&M, Zara, White Stuff) aim for a broad range of target age. A good sweeper comment box for this might be "If you think it depends on the brand, are there any particular brands you feel cater well for you as an over-50s consumer?"
  • item 7 is difficult to answer if you don't have something you buy more of than anything else! (Need a "not applicable" type box.)
  • item 8's second check box text is a mistake - did you mean to put another option there?
  • item 13's first two check boxes come to the same answer, and the last two are very nearly the same answer as well. How about "Seen in the street/ on other people" as an alternative, or "Seen on TV/ movies" - that was the ASOS USP when it began.

Finally - if you are allowed to do that - it would be interesting to see what brands actual over-50s see as being aimed at them (Cos, East, LK Bennett, Me & Em are ones that come to mind for me) and whether they like them or think they have got it right.
