Light the blue (appropriate) touch paper and retire.

I think the colour is awful - as said, cheap and nasty-looking.

And the zips, as always with PU, are OTT rather than stylish. Hopeless attempt at picking up on biker trend -late in the day - and adapting it to the PU house (lack of) style .

How can a colour look cheap?

I'm not having a go, just confused. Surely it would look good on an Autumn? It looks like a lighter marine navy to me (might be my monitor). All colours suit somebody, surely. A lot of 'tasteful' colours look shit on me.

I wouldn't wear it and I do think it's a bit late in the day for biker coats, but I wouldn't care less if someone else liked it.

Royal blue can look cheap, it is a very common colour for cheap market stall blouses and jumpers in my youth.

On the right person it looks stunning, I had a black African flat mate who looked stunning in her royle blue bridesmaids/ ball dress (her sister let her choose one for both).

My auburn haired DD has a Sainsbury's coat that colour and looks lovely in it.

Me, I'm a mousy brunette and I look like I've spent 50p on my clothes if I wear royal blue.

Royal blue is ace on winters and iirc some springs. All down to what suits a person - agree that royal blue can look cheap if it doesn't suit the person. I am a winter and royal blue looks miles better (not sure about more expensive?) than say beige on me.

Nah, it's a bit.. well.. outdated looking? Don't like the colour either.
