Should I blow nearly £500 on a faux fur coat?

I love it so
What do others think of the coat... I probably won't end up buying it because that would be pretty silly. But I might.

Fuck, he looks like Bungle from Rainbow.

HelloBoys · 22/01/2014 13:38

are you mad? only if you have money to burn and even then.

TheBigBumTheory · 22/01/2014 13:39

To quote my mum

'That's very stylish, how does it wash? '

Meant she didn't approve...

HelloBoys · 22/01/2014 13:39

I prefer the camel but only slightly.

IMO it'll date badly. and kids will snigger at you walking down the street

Happiestinwellybobs · 22/01/2014 13:41

Honestly - my first thought was that you would look like Mr Bump from the Mr Men.

Beeyump · 22/01/2014 13:42

You know what HelloBoys? I don't give the tiniest of shits Grin

My eyes,my eyes!!-seriously that is fugly! Get thee to your local charity or vintage shop for a much better and cheaper faux fur!

TripTrapTripTrapOverTheBridge · 22/01/2014 13:45

Honestly? If it was the same coat in wool or other fabric it would probably look really nice,if it was wool and fitted at the waist, flaring out and had buttons I'd be in love with it.

As it is,it looks like a cheaply faux fur/over the top fleece thing a tragic old lady would buy from a city market for under 20 quid.

Sorry Blush

Janorisa · 22/01/2014 13:46

I really love it...you should buy it if you can afford it.

HelloBoys · 22/01/2014 13:46

beeyump - as i said "it's your money honey".

why ask here?! did you someone pee in your Frosties this morning?! Grin

TripTrapTripTrapOverTheBridge · 22/01/2014 13:46

Don't get that one either unless you are a stick thin model who likes to be nothing but a coat hanger to show off clothes rather than actually wear clothes that show you off..

MollyMollyMollyMolly · 22/01/2014 13:47

Im sorry but I don't like it either.

notso · 22/01/2014 13:47

Please don't I am totally against the use of real Muppet skin the name of fashion.

HelloBoys · 22/01/2014 13:48

TripTrap - to be objective yes, you are right, it just looks shapeless and the bands probably won't do anyone any favours.

Chivetalking · 22/01/2014 13:49

Not keen on any but the camel is the least worst. The first will look like a trainspotters anorak from a distance.

The massive boat coat is one up from a wolf fleece IMO.

Beeyump · 22/01/2014 13:49

I don't eat frosties. I eat cookies.

tethersend · 22/01/2014 13:51

Rule for life: never wear clothes with pictures of people more attractive than you on them Grin

I don't like the stripy coats either, sorry. They look like they're off the market. You could get a much nicer vintage one- this for example.

AmberNectarine · 22/01/2014 13:52

I knew it would be a Shrimps one. They are fabulous and feel very luxurious - I say go for it!

Beeyump · 22/01/2014 13:58

Oh, I don't like that one at all tethers. Thanks though!

Amber, do you have a Shrimps coat?? Eee!

OP posts:
tethersend · 22/01/2014 13:59

It's fine.

As long as you play for Greenock Morton

noddyholder · 22/01/2014 14:00

I like it.

AmberNectarine · 22/01/2014 14:03

No, I wish! But I have pawed one before - I am always of the opinion that investment pieces should be things you really LOVE. My most expensive buys tend to polarise opinion but I like and get a lot of use out of them

HelloBoys · 22/01/2014 14:04

if that's a reference to the cookie monster well you'd be right re the coat!

Teeb · 22/01/2014 14:28

No.

Just...No.
