has anyone used this? is it that good, am tempted but it's quite a bit of money for something that's a bit gimmicky

I have this. I love it as on me it creates the perfect my lips but better colour that I'd been looking for for ages. I always remember reading that your perfect lip colour will be the colour of the inside of your bottom lip when you pull it down.
I think it does come up differently on different people though. I have very pigmented lips and it's a kind of purpleish colour on me. On some people though it comes off as very pink.
When applying it, you also have to be aware that it changes colour slightly over 5 minutes and deepens a bit.
The formula is really nice. Very balm like and doesn't dry out my lips at all.
I got mine for about £12 I think. I would probably pay that again, but possibly not the full £20 it usually is!
I think in all honesty a good coloured balm that suits you might do the same job. Smile
