I have really curly hair but straighten it everyday (hate curly hair on myself) it's very fine but loads of it,
if it's not down it's tied in a low or mid pony tail, cannot seem to put in a doughnut bun hairs to fine and a messy bun looks stupid it doesn't lie right!!
How do you do a messy bun or other quick up do??

have a look at theses, your hair sounds just like mine, but at the moment i'm using the curl to get the updo's to stay put!
mine is only chin length with a fringe which I always dry straight

Yes curly hair stays up much better than straight! Claire's Accessories do a big comb thing with an elastic ban that stretches across. Dead easy to do twist up a French pleat.

not what you asked, but I am singing the praises of the Wellastrate treatment. Transformed my frizzy curly hair into wavy shiny stuff. I can now have a proper swishy pony tail!

I wish I was brave enough to wear it curly, last summer I left it to dry naturally a couple of hot days but it just looks dull and dark
