Should CACI been this painful?

First time CACI treatment and last It felt akin to falling into an electric barbed wire fence then being mauled by a Large Dog.
The therapist did not explain what was going to happen but really pushed the wand/ pointed thing into my face. I actually thought she had pierced my cheek. I prepared for electric zaps but ouch!
She got quite cross when I asked her to stop and asked me what my issue with pain was. I told her but she said "No pain, no gain".

I have a high pain threshold but tears of sheer pain. I don't see any difference but my face feels very sore like it was punched.

Is this normal for CACI?

I had something similar-Genie-and that was very uncomfortable too. Worked, though!

I was prepared for it, though.

Thanks fedup.
After all that pummeling, I expected to have cheeks like Angelina Jolie but look more like the Churchill dog. Flippin' cheeks and neck are bruised.

no it shouldn't be like that. They should start on the lowest setting and build it up over the first 6 or 10 treatments so that your face gets used to it. I'd complain

No, doesn't sound right to me either. The treatment I had was uncomfortable at the time, but there were no after effects. And you could see the difference straight away. Sounds more like a physical assualt!

I'd complain too.

No. It definitely should feel like that and you absolutely shouldn't be bruised afterwards.
I found it a little unpleasant in certain parts of my face and quite pleasant in others. The therapist was excellent and explained everything v well, regularly asking if it felt okay. I am going to have another one soon.

You should definitely complain. It sounds awful!
