Plain tunic, long jumper

I have various nice scarves, but all my tops are patterned.

I'd love (a long enough to wear with leggings) plain dark denim, navy, indigo, deep purple long jumper or tunic.

Must not be too clingy, (16), must have full lengths leaves and must not contain wool (I'm allergic to it)

I'm a SAHM so not silly money (DSIS gave me £25 towards it for Christmas)

Sleeves.

Or short sleeves and suitable to put over a long sleeved navy T.

M&S had a 3/4 length sleeve one and cold fore arms and a cosy scarf felt really odd.

Do you mean this kind of style?

Lots going on here in the sale, too (but many contain wool - although some jersey, etc)..

I actually like the idea of dark indigo with, say, a black fitted cotton long sleeved top beneath (layering) which would solve the short sleeve issue ad look very stylish in my opinion.

I am currently obsessed with wearing pale grey long jumpers to leggings (never done this before!), my tall boots, and a lovely black unpatterned scarf. It is a very chic, yet comfy look. Best eggings ever are from M&S with this wide soft band at the waist so it doesn't bug my stomach (i hate the feel of tight elastic).

eggings!

Do you mean you wear pale grey long jumper and pale grey leggings? Just interested.

ToastedTeacakes · 16/01/2014 12:55

No - sorry if I messed that description up!
I recently bought a long, pale grey tunic length cashmere jumper which I wear with black leggings and boots. I think that I'm so impressed by this because I was shocked by how decent I looked at same time as feeling so cozy! It isn't a style I am usually familiar with, although I dis admire it on others, so it still feels slightly novel to me (I'm more of a skirt and tights person generally).

polyhymnia · 16/01/2014 13:11

Ah that sounds nice.

Starballbunny · 16/01/2014 19:01

The hush ones are very close, Charlene would be perfect if the blue was in stock.

I think the Rosie dress, with the little skirt is a bit too much my 15y DDs style for me to getaway with.

This any good?

sarahandemily · 17/01/2014 07:32

Have a look at h&m. I just ordered a grey long jumper last night and I think they had other colours. Less than£20 if I remember correctly

Starballbunny · 17/01/2014 12:38

Sorry I meant denim blue, not denim fabric.

I'll take a look at H&M, DD1 has nice things from there, but DD1 and me find the adult sizing stupidly small.

I like the hush ones, just ordered two. Ta.

Starballbunny · 17/01/2014 12:49

Hmm looking at their web site, i think a visit to our new H&M is called for.

Having narrow shoulders, smallish boobs and big hips means mail order is a nightmare.

The Charlene one is back in stock in some sizes so I ordered that. MN is so bad for my bank balance.

polyhymnia · 17/01/2014 13:02

What is Hush sizing like?

sarahandemily · 17/01/2014 13:13

Hoping my stuff from h&m is big enough now! I've ordered stuff for my dd before but not me

teta · 17/01/2014 13:21

I think its pretty much true to size Polyhymnia.I've just ordered the Rosie dress and it is vile on me(even the beanie makes me look like a superannuated leprechaun).
