Nice clothes for a fat man?

As it says really
DH has a 40inch waist so is just able to shop on the high street (or rather me on his behalf)
What is flattering for a larger gentleman please?

I have the same problem with DH. He isn't massively tall either which can be problematic as places often have 'big and tall' sections!

Jacamo is supposed to be good, but I think they can be very long. I tend to get DH things from M&S, Next, Debenhans, and also supermarkets; Tu and George are pretty good.

Styles are more difficult-DH looks better layered, WHSmiths eg a white round neck t-shirt, a shirt, then a black v-neck jumper.
