Where can I shop for dh?

Visited John Lewis today and what a disaster all the clothes for men were plastered with labels - has the Ralph Lauren polo pony doubled in size? It was enormous!

I'm looking for fairly good quality, casual clothing for a 45 year old - no exterior branding!! Not too trendy and not too conservative either. He dresses extremely smart for work and ends up being a total scruff at weekends....he can't be arsed with shopping, but will happily try on whatever I buy him.

I'd love a list of unbranded brands, suitable for a slim built middle aged man.

Dh likes John Lewis's kin range. It's inoffensive stuff.

StatisticallyChallenged · 15/01/2014 18:37

DH likes debenhams stuff in general, quite a good range and well made IMO

Gant and Nigel Hall are my DHs favourite, he doesn't like obvious brands either

rubyslippers · 15/01/2014 18:51

Penguin - v small logos and well made and not trendy

massimo dutti - my DH is slim and this is good (their clothes are deffo cut for slim fit)

DH is 43, tall and slim (chuff!)

He likes John Lewis kin range
Gap
Next (nice fitted casual shirts and bargain chinos)

I second Next.

Maybe M&S?

My H buys from Gant, Crew Clothing, Joules and the very odd bit from Boden.

Duck and cover is what my DH has recently discovered. Our local menswear shop has it, also some on Amazon.

Howick stuff is lovely and well made

If you're in London go to Lamb Conduit Street. Half a dozen good independents & J Crew all next to each other.
