Which bag...?

I'm looking for a new handbag with some Christmas money.... I've been trawling through the sales for ages and am picky but have narrowed it down to two:

Smythson in grey
Peony and Moore in blue

Smythson will knock of VAT for me (live outside the EU) but it's still more expensive.... does it look like an older lady's bag in a funny colour? Feel the blue might be more easily dressed up and down and I have a P&M bag already that it lovely. Is it just the lure of a big label with a big reduction that's swaying me towards the Smythson one?

Just don't like quilted style anything especially bags.

The 2nd one is okay but I think P&M are overpriced, and hobo bags drive me mad because everything drops to the bottom of them in a heap.

Have you looked at Osprey?
Modalu?
Navy is one of those 'funny' colours- it's not always very popular and same applies to grey- you are never going to get as much choice as you would with black or tan or brown.

I've been looking for a navy bag too and think it's very much a Spring/Summer colour so have decided to wait a few weeks till all the new season's stock comes in.

I've just done a real spur of the moment thing and bought this in navy. Kooba bags are great quality and it's got the slouchyness of the P&M with more detail. There was only one left in stock so it's on its way to me.

Agree that navy is a summer colour and there will be more around soon but I was also looking for a reduction, which I probably wouldn't get til August on the new season stock.
