Easy 50s hairdo???

Can anyone point me to a tutorial/instructions for a simple 50s ish hair do? probably an up do but anything would be helpful really. I've bought this dress and would like to make my hair look 'smart' (???) to go with it for a christening.

My hair is blonde, just below shoulder length and average thickness. It's naturally straight and slippery.
