Anglomania but cheaper

A fashion networking event has reared it's stylish head.

I am skint. And fatter than usual 16-18

I have plenty of nice dresses in a 14 of course. Rage!

Anyway, I need a stylish but subdued outfit that doesn't take attention away my accessories (which will be my new line which I am releasing soon! Hence why I'm skint).

Anyone have any good ideas for a cool, easy to wear dress/outfit that isn't ageing?

I'll reveal all (plus a cheeky MN discount) once I've launched it. Mners have been so supportive, it's really given me the push to make the jump and do something bigger.

It's a few months away and I'm just skint and stressed over getting it all together. Hence the lack of money and extra weight...

I really would rather not go to this event but I'd be silly not to... But I need to look 'together' and not like this project has half killed me

Op, if you like that Me and Em dress it's worth ringing them about it as they may still have it in the shop.

Keep an eye on the me+em website. They sold out really quickly in the sale but they come back randomly as people return ones that didnt fit. I got lucky that way. Its a lovely dress. The weight to the jersey gives it a quality feel.

I find me+em quite big. I am a twelve and always order the 8-10 which fits with no squeezing in their stuff. Might be worth trying the 14-16.
