Where do you store your jewelry?

I used to have a board covered in pretty fabric with nails along the top and bottom for necklaces and bracelets respectively, with assorted other bits in random jewelry boxes. I don't have room for my necklace board now - I'm wondering about the inside of my wardrobe door (but won't they clash around every time I open it?) or a tabletop tree thing. Or sort out my jewelry boxes properly, I guess.

What do you all do?

Also here to mention Stackers. Not the cheapest, but they also look really lovely and minimalist if you don't like all your jewellery out on display.

I have everything!!!

  1. two boards, attached to the inside of the doors of a wardrobe, where I stuck little plastic hooks. I store chains, supple bracelets, ear rings, most jewellery actually, on those. And no, they don't clatter when you open and close the wardrobe doors
  1. a long mirrored cupboard that has compartments for different types of jewellery inside and on the back of the mirror. It has a few shelves which are good for items you cannot hang
  1. A six-level stackers unit (I got mine from John Lewis). Love it!
  1. A jewellery tree I got from Homesense - I store rings on that
  1. these sort of hangers: www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001L9D9B6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?psc=1&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&ie=UTF8 They are fantastic for long necklaces and multi wrap bracelets. I hang these in my wardrobe
  1. a couple of mirrored table top drawer unit like you get in M&S. They are OK but stuff gets tangled inside the drawers and it's difficult to find.

Hope this helps!

I have a free standing mirror that opens up to reveal hooks, little drawers and ring slots, it’s great for some of my vast collection of costume jewellery I also have wooden coat hangers with little hooks screwedin all along the edge to hand chains on. Earrings I hang on the back of a cupboard door using a fine string tied between two hooks.

@Goolte - what type of jewellery were you thinking of? Costume? Real? Yellow (gold)? White (gold)/silver? Rose (gold)? And what style does she like in terms of clothing, shoes, handbags? Minimalist? Boho chic? And do you have a budget?

I don’t have much jewellery as I buy classic but expensive stuff that I really love and then wear those pieces all the time eg a pair of diamond stud earrings that can be worn with anything. When I buy something new (and it’s not often, maybe every 2/3 years) I give the old things to my children / godchildren. I do have a few pendants and a couple of pairs of earrings that I might occasionally wear for a change and I don’t keep them all in one place but some in a box in a drawer, some under the bed, some hanging on hooks on the wall. I reason that if we were burgled a thief might find one lot and assume that’s all there is. If it was all in one place there is more chance a burglar could get away with everything.

I keep earrings and small items in a weekly pill container that has seven trays, each with three sections.
