New balance trainers, help please

Hey all,

Have worn converse for previous two summers since dd1 born/pregnant. I'm bored. Keep seeing new balance about. Love various colour ways which is rather why I like converse. Bright happy shoes that take me places comfortably fashionably, hopefully.

Which should I buy? I'd mainly be walking. Not much else truthfully. I have size 8 feet. I like trainers therefore to not be very weighty or thick plastic like as make my plates of meat like flippers. These seem to come in various numbers and I don't know which is what. Should I go for men's too at my size...?

Anyone any thoughts please...? Or even alternatives.

I have 410s in grey - they are fabulously light, but they do come up small - go up a size!

Size up in New Balance. I'm a size 8 too, and I find that they come up quite small.

410. Think that's quite a skinny looking shoe which is my pref (having googled!). Yeah was dicing between a classic grey or navy or burgundy or something bright like turquoise. I'd wear the classics more though wouldn't i? It's more the look I'm after long term. That bloody hard to achieve "oh? This ol thing? Yeah I just threw this on today!" Luxe cool non fussy Kate moss sort of thing.
